Unit 3: Reading and Creating Texts
- Reading and Responding to Texts: Analytical responses to a set text, exploring its ideas, form and construction.
- Creating Texts: Writing original texts linked to a Framework of Ideas, informed by close study of mentor texts.
Unit 4: Reading and Analysing Argument
- Reading and Responding to Texts: A second analytical text study, building comparative and critical skills.
- Analysing Argument: Analysing how written, spoken and visual texts construct and present an argument to persuade an audience.
